According to police, the victims arrived Thursday afternoon at the McDonalds located at 17730 Collins Ave. to pick up a DoorDash delivery order when one of them accidentally brushed Clifford Atis, 36, of northwest Miami-Dade, with his elbow.

Police said Atis immediately punched the victim in the face and when the second victim attempted to intervene the defuse the situation, Atis said “I’m going to shoot you guys” before leaving the restaurant and heading toward his vehicle.

After Atis retrieved a gray item from his car, the victims, who went outside to tell him to wait for police to arrive, ran back inside the restaurant after seeing him holding what they believed to be a gun.
