Smith, 38, also known as Kerri Pierre, promised her customers 24-hour care support, transportation, and meals, but some of them complained of crowded and dirty houses, according to deputies.

A Snatched ‘n Curved customer reported she “had to stay in a house with 11 other women … had to urinate in a cup,” and another reported that she was in a house with “a rodent problem” and “bugs crawling,” a deputy wrote, according to an arrest report.

MDSO deputies reported the assisted living facilities were not licensed by the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration, as state law requires, records show.

Deputies had been searching for Smith for months when they arrested her shortly after 2:40 p.m. on Tuesday at 16010 SW 151 Terrace in Miami-Dade County’s Country Walk neighborhood, according to an arrest report.

“I received a call from an anonymous source that [Smith] was currently taking care of patients,” a deputy wrote, according to an arrest report.

On Wednesday, prosecutors filed five cases against Smith, who faced 15 charges. A judge ordered her to show that the source of her bail was not from the proceeds of her crimes, according to court records.

SMITH’S CO-DEFENDANT

During their investigation, MDSO deputies found eight patients and two employees on March 27 at a house that operated as an ALF at 21480 SW 132 Court, records show.

Smith, who was born in Texas, also worked with Crystal White, at Miami-based SNG Concierge, according to deputies who cited state corporate records.

“I have been in contact with [Smith’s] attorney multiple times regarding her surrender and was advised that [Smith] was upset because I arrested [White],” a deputy wrote, according to the arrest report.

Deputies arrested White, 38, on April 7. Smith and White “were previously arrested two separate times in 2023 for the unlicensed operation” of two ALFs, a deputy wrote, according to the arrest report.

Detectives believe there may be more victims and asked anyone with information to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477 to remain anonymous.

SMITH’S 15 CHARGES

Miami-Dade County corrections booked Smith shortly before 7:10 p.m. on Tuesday at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where she remained on Wednesday afternoon.
