Miami Gardens Councilwoman Linda Julien discusses Haitian Heritage Month

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. — This month is Haitian Heritage Month.

South Florida’s Haitian community is a very proud one.

There are several gatherings and events planned throughout the month to recognize Haitian heritage.

Someone who knows quite a bit about that is Miami Gardens Councilwoman Linda Julien.

Julian was the first Haitian-American councilwoman to be elected in Miami Gardens.
