Heat rout Bucks in 1st Las Vegas Summer League game on Local 10

Miami (1-0) opened NBA Summer League play in Las Vegas with a 119-86 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks (0-1), marking the first meeting between the teams since Giannis Antetokounmpo’s blockbuster trade from Milwaukee to Miami became official.

Guards Ryan Conwell and Jahmir Young led the team with 19 points, while center Vlad Goldin added 14 points and six rebounds as the Heat cruised to victory

The Heat continue Summer League play against the Orlando Magic at 3:30 p.m. Saturday before wrapping up their opening slate at 8 p.m. Monday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. All three Summer League games will air on Local 10.

Antetokounmpo’s 12-year run with the Bucks officially came to an end Monday when the NBA approved the blockbuster trade sending him and Bobby Portis to Miami in exchange for Tyler Herro, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kel’el Ware, Kasparas Jakucionis and draft capital.

Friday’s matchup also marked Jakucionis’ debut against his former team. He finished with 11 points on 2 of 10 shooting. Projected starters for NBA teams are not expected to play in the Summer League.
