MIAMI — It’s been a solid run for Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo lately.
Last Tuesday, Adebayo made history by scoring 83 points, the second-most in a single game in NBA history.

It was an incredible feat to behold, passing Kobe Bryant’s 81-point effort in 2006 and trailing only Wilt Chamberlain’s seemingly unbreakable record of 100 points that he set in 1962.
On Monday, the NBA named Adebayo the Eastern Conference Player of the Week.
Adebayo has now won the award twice this season and four times in his career.
It’s also the tenth time in Heat history that two Miami players have won the award in consecutive weeks; Tyler Herro was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week last Monday.
Adebayo averaged 41.3 points per game last week, adding 8.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.33 steals and 1.33 blocked shots while helping Miami to a 2-1 record.

Recently, he’s also helped the Heat go on an impressive run in which they have won 10 of their past 13 games.
That has propelled Miami up to seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings entering play Monday, trailing sixth-place Toronto by 0.5 games and fifth-place Orlando by one game.

The Heat will be back in action on Tuesday when they face the Charlotte Hornets.
