South Florida voters have casted their ballots in the 2026 primary election, with races across Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe counties.

Polls opened at 7 a.m. and closed at 7 p.m.
Florida is a closed-primary state, meaning voters generally may cast ballots only for candidates from the political party with which they are registered. All registered voters, however, can participate in applicable nonpartisan races and universal primary contests.

Voters saw a variety of federal, state and local races on their ballots depending on where they live and their party affiliation. The ballots included party primaries for Florida governor, U.S. Senate, congressional and state legislative races, along with nonpartisan contests.
