Police: Woman stabbed in face in downtown Miami

MIAMI — A woman was rushed to a hospital Tuesday morning after being stabbed in the face by a man in downtown Miami, authorities said.

According to Miami police, Biscayne Boulevard, between Eighth and Ninth Street were shut down in both directions following the attack, but northbound lanes have since reopened.

Police said the victim was stabbed in the face with some kind of sharp object, but a more detailed description of the weapon used was not immediately known.

Officers said they are working to take the suspect into custody.

The victim was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center in stable condition, authorities confirmed.
