Video shows antisemitic attack inside North Miami Beach Target, police say

NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — Newly-released video footage shows what police said was an antisemitic attack at a South Florida store.

It happened on Aug. 2 at the Target located at 14075 Biscayne Blvd. in North Miami Beach.

Local 10 News has obtained video footage from the incident.

According to official documents, Chyvonne Juanita Palmer, 43, of North Miami, “suddenly stood up” and approached the victim, who was a teenage boy wearing a yarmulke and sitting on the opposite side of the Starbucks seating area, “and began screaming and yelling at him.”

Palmer hit the teen twice with a cellphone and returned to her seat, but she got back up and tried hitting him again, this time with a metal chair, according to her arrest report.

According to authorities, a witness told officers that Palmer tried to strike the victim and “repeatedly shouted ‘I hate them.’”

She was subsequently charged with aggravated battery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon with prejudice and disorderly conduct.
