HIALEAH, Fla. — Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies and Hialeah Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting after a group fight on Tuesday in Hialeah.

Law enforcement responded to Hialeah’s Aquabella community in the area of Northwest 91st Avenue and 170th Street, according to Lt. Eddie Rodriguez, a spokesman for HPD.
“Officers have detained multiple individuals and located two suspected vehicles,” Rodriguez wrote in a statement.

Police officers asked the public to avoid the area.
“Preliminary searches thus far have located no injured persons; however, this remains an active, fluid, and developing investigation,” Rodriguez wrote.
Westlake Preparatory School and Academy, at 13835 NW 97 Ave., was temporarily on lockdown due to police activity.
