FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A body was found near train tracks in Fort Lauderdale Thursday morning, but police say the victim’s cause of death is unclear.

According to police, someone called 911 at about 6:15 a.m. to report that a body was near the train tracks in the 6200 block of North Andrews Avenue.
Detectives arrived at the scene and are investigating whether the victim was struck by a train or “died in some other fashion,” police said.

While the cause of death remains unclear, video taken by Local 10 News shows a Tri-Rail train was stopped on the tracks nearby amid the investigation.
