Miami-Dade deputies close part of Northwest 27th Avenue after shooting

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — One person was hurt after a shooting in Miami-Dade’s unincorporated West Little River area on Wednesday afternoon, first responders said.

The shooting happened at the corner of Northwest 27th Avenue and 90th Street.

Video from Sky 10 showed blood spattered on the sidewalk at the intersection and Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies at the scene.

A Miami-Dade Fire Rescue spokesperson said medics took the victim, identified only as an adult, to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center.

Authorities did not provide additional details about his or her condition.

Traffic on Northwest 27th Avenue was being diverted as deputies blocked off the road.

Local 10 News has contacted MDSO seeking additional information about the incident, including details on any suspects or a motive.
