Emerald Awards honor outstanding women in the community at Fort Lauderdale event

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Outstanding women in the community had a chance to shine during the 2026 Emerald Awards in Fort Lauderdale.

The annual event, hosted by Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida, recognized four women and the strides they’ve made in healthcare and non-profit organizations, including Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward County.

Local 10’s Linnie Supall served as the emcee for the event, which also recognized Girl Scouts who plan on launching future careers in media and marketing.
