{"id":1004,"date":"2026-05-25T12:08:05","date_gmt":"2026-05-25T12:08:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/southfloridamovingguides.com\/?p=1004"},"modified":"2026-05-25T12:08:05","modified_gmt":"2026-05-25T12:08:05","slug":"1-arrested-following-vehicle-burglaries-chase-from-pinecrest-to-broward","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southfloridamovingguides.com\/?p=1004","title":{"rendered":"1 arrested following vehicle burglaries, chase from Pinecrest to Broward"},"content":{"rendered":"<article>\n<p>PINECREST, Fla.  \u2014 One suspect was arrested Sunday following vehicle burglaries in Pinecrest that led to a chase that ended in Broward County, authorities confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/southfloridamovingguides.com\/?p=1002\">Dog, rabbits, bearded dragon rescued after Fort Lauderdale house fire<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Online jail records show Detric McClary, 24, was arrested in Broward on charges of resisting an officer, fleeing and eluding at high speed, trespassing at an occupied structure, and two counts of probation violation.<\/p>\n<p>Police said additional charges are pending from the Pinecrest Police Department.<\/p>\n<p>Surveillance footage obtained by Local 10 News shows a burglary crew targeting vehicles in Pinecrest before a police officer caught on, leading to a chase that would ultimately end with the suspects crashing in Broward County.<\/p>\n<p>The footage captured the burglars attempting to steal from outside of a home on Southwest 66th Avenue at around 2 a.m. Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The suspects were dressed in black and donned ski masks and could be seen moving from car-to-car in search of valuables.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a very quiet neighborhood,\u201d neighbor Dave Auslander said. \u201cWe always feel safe here, but as I think any of us in this country have learned, any bad stuff can happen anywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A Pinecrest police officer eventually noticed a BMW parked on the wrong side of the road.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/southfloridamovingguides.com\/?p=1000\">Video shows Pinecrest burglary crew targeting cars before fleeing cops, later crashing in Broward<\/a><\/p>\n<p>As the officer approached, the suspects quickly returned to the car and intentionally backed into the officer\u2019s cruiser, damaging it before speeding off, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>Pinecrest police pursued the crew until they lost sight of them.
