HOLLYWOOD BEACH, Fla. \u2014 Homicide detectives were investigating a woman\u2019s death on Thursday morning, hours after her body washed ashore in Hollywood Beach, according to the Hollywood Police Department.<\/p>\n

Hollywood police officers responded to a 911 call at about 8 p.m. on Wednesday after ocean-side witnesses saw the body, east of the North Boardwalk and south of the Hollywood North Beach Park.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe saw two fishermen and then what looked like a body on the beach … We saw them drag her up … it was disheartening,\u201d Gianluca Fiore, a witness, said. <\/p>\n

There were Hollywood police officers on and off the beach late into the night, near North Surf Road, between New Mexico and Thomas streets. The Broward County Medical Examiner\u2019s Office was investigating. <\/p>\n

Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases who wants to remain anonymous to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477. <\/p>\n
