I see it every day. It is not the same. It will never be the same,\u201d former Coral Springs Mayor Vincent Boccard said.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities said Addis was struck and killed by a wrong-way driver. Dash cam video captured the crash.<\/p>\n<p>His stepfather Boccard, and his mother, Terry Boccard, said the loss is still difficult to put into words.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou don\u2019t realize how important somebody is until they\u2019re gone. You don\u2019t realize the little things that they do and that you do with them,\u201d Boccard said. \u201cAll those memories, they flood your mind. We\u2019ve got to get through this and I want to create a legacy for my son somehow,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The driver accused in the crash, 47-year-old Sult President, has appeared in court and is currently in jail. Addis\u2019 parents said they are beginning to find some closure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust the way it happened, it\u2019s devastating, so unnecessary. I\u2019m happy he\u2019s now put away and he\u2019ll have his trial. He can\u2019t do that to someone else now,\u201d Terry Boccard said.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, Addis\u2019 younger sister, Sophia, recently graduated from Coral Springs Charter School, where her brother once attended.
