{"id":2180,"date":"2026-06-11T11:35:09","date_gmt":"2026-06-11T11:35:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/southfloridamovingguides.com\/?p=2180"},"modified":"2026-06-11T11:35:09","modified_gmt":"2026-06-11T11:35:09","slug":"mother-arrested-on-unrelated-charge-after-girl-5-shot-inside-florida-city-home","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southfloridamovingguides.com\/?p=2180","title":{"rendered":"Mother arrested on unrelated charge after girl, 5, shot inside Florida City home"},"content":{"rendered":"<article>\n<p>FLORIDA CITY, Fla.  \u2014 A mother was arrested Wednesday after her 5-year-old daughter was fatally shot inside a Florida City home, but authorities said her charge is unrelated to the shooting.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/southfloridamovingguides.com\/?p=2178\">The \u2018King of the North\u2019 seeks a path to becoming Britain\u2019s next leader in a special election<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Online jail records show Ashley Marie Hosendove, 32, faces a charge of disorderly conduct\/breach of the peace.<\/p>\n<p>Local 10 News has requested a copy of her arrest report.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff\u2019s Office, the shooting was reported at about 2 a.m. Wednesday at a home off Northwest First Court near 16<sup>th<\/sup> Street.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities said the girl, who was identified by a family member as Janova Park, suffered gunshot wounds to her stomach and torso and was rushed to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, where she later died.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe know that at the time of the shooting, there were three adults and two children &#8212; the victim who\u2019s 5 years old and her 4-year-old brother,\u201d MDSO Detective Angel Rodriguez said Wednesday. <\/p>\n<p>Detectives confirmed that Hosendove was among the adults inside the home at the time of the shooting.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/southfloridamovingguides.com\/?p=2176\">Feds won\u2019t seek death penalty in plea deal with man accused of killing top Minnesota Democrat<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Detectives said they\u2019re still trying to determine how Janova was shot, including whether she may have accessed the gun herself or whether someone else shot her. <\/p>\n<p>Local 10\u2019s Hannah Yechivi spoke to Laticha Ellison, Janova\u2019s grandmother, on Wednesday, who said the shooting could\u2019ve been prevented. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy grandbaby is 5 years old,\u201d Ellison said through tears. \u201cShe\u2019s only 5.
