ALLAPATTAH, Fla. \u2014 A 22-year-old man accused of a three-day crime spree that was caught on video was at the Metrowest Detention Center on Thursday in Miami-Dade County, facing 18 charges in 12 cases, records show. <\/p>\n

Detectives listed eight surveillance videos that showed Ivis Aceituno\u2019s obsessive three-day focus on parked cars that didn\u2019t belong to him, according to incident and arrest reports. <\/p>\n

Records show six of the surveillance videos were recorded on May 30 in Coral Gables, one on June 5 in Miami\u2019s Coral Way neighborhood, and another on June 9, also in Coral Gables. <\/p>\n

A May 30 video shows Aceituno trying to break into a black 2026 Cadillac Escalade ESV and a gray 2025 Subaru Crosstrek near Sevilla Avenue and Segovia Street, according to police. <\/p>\n

A May 30 video show him trying to break into a dark 2024 Ferrari SF90, a red 2025 Lamborghini Urus, and a red 2026 Ferrari 12Cilindri near Sevilla Avenue and Anderson Road, according to police.<\/p>\n

In the area of Palermo Avenue and Segovia and Hernando streets, May 30 videos show Aceituno breaking into a silver Chrysler and a black Volkswagen, and trying to break into a Ford Mustang and a green Mercedes-Benz, according to police. <\/p>\n

A May 30 video near Northwest 15 Avenue and 19 Street in Allapattah showed Aceituno \u201cexiting\u201d a 2026 Dodge Durango that had been stolen from a driveway near Aledo Avenue and Anderson Road in Coral Gables, according to police. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe bicycle that Aceituno utilized for multiple vehicle burglaries, that was captured on CCTV, was located in the rear cargo area of the Durango,\u201d a deputy wrote, according to an arrest report. <\/p>\n

The June 5 video shows Aceituno breaking into a parked car near Southwest 16th Avenue and 22 Terrace \u201cand taking a set of\u201d Airpods that later pinged in the area of Northwest 18 Avenue and 19 Street in Allapattah, according to police. <\/p>\n

The June 9 video shows Aceituno trying to break into cars near to where a 2024 Ford Mustang was stolen near Savona Avenue and South Le Jeune Road before it was abandoned near Northwest 19 Avenue and 16 Terrace in Allapattah, according to police. <\/p>\n

Records show Aceituno was living near Northwest 19 Avenue and 19 Terrace in Allapattah, and his alleged crime spree involved the Miami and Coral Gables police departments and the Miami-Dade Sheriff\u2019s Office. <\/p>\n

The Coral Gables Police Department had issued a \u201cBe-On-the-Look-Out\u201d alert for a suspect when a Miami-Dade Sheriff\u2019s Office deputy recognized Aceituno after an arrest on Monday, records show. <\/p>\n

On Tuesday, a Coral Gables detective contacted the MDSO deputy, who \u201cprovided a positive ID\u201d for Aceituno, who was at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, according to a police report. <\/p>\n

In the 12 cases prosecutors filed, Aceituno faced four counts of grand theft vehicle, five counts of burglary of an unoccupied conveyance, two counts of attempted burglary of an occupied conveyance, five counts of attempted burglary of an unoccupied conveyance, one count of trespass in an unoccupied structure or conveyance, and one count of petit theft. <\/p>\n
