MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. \u2014 A body in a canal underneath a bridge prompted a death investigation on Saturday afternoon in northeastern Miami-Dade County. <\/p>\n

The Miami Gardens Police Department, the Miami-Dade Sheriff\u2019s Office, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, and the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner\u2019s Office responded to the Miami Gardens-Ives Estates area.<\/p>\n

Detective Angel Rodriguez said the body of the \u201cunknown male\u201d was in the area of Northeast Second Avenue and 199 Street.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe MDSO Homicide Bureau has assumed the investigation,\u201d Rodriguez said. \u201cThe manner and cause of death will be determined by the autopsy results.\u201d<\/p>\n
