{"id":303,"date":"2026-05-14T16:35:21","date_gmt":"2026-05-14T16:35:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/southfloridamovingguides.com\/?p=303"},"modified":"2026-05-14T16:35:21","modified_gmt":"2026-05-14T16:35:21","slug":"police-additional-victim-comes-forward-after-man-charged-with-molesting-girl-12-on-way-to-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southfloridamovingguides.com\/?p=303","title":{"rendered":"Police: Additional victim comes forward after man charged with molesting girl, 12, on way to school"},"content":{"rendered":"<article>\n<p>MIAMI GARDENS, Fla.  \u2014 A new charge has been brought against a suspect accused of molesting a preteen girl in Miami Gardens.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/southfloridamovingguides.com\/?p=301\">Suspect tied to Miami-Dade kidnapping investigation that led to chase faces charges in 3 cases: Cops<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The 12-year-old victim said she was walking to school on Monday morning when Carlos Jean, 37, of Biscayne Gardens, approached her and touched her inappropriately, according to investigators. <\/p>\n<p>That interaction near Carol City Middle School was caught on camera, police said. <\/p>\n<p>Jean is facing one count of battery and lewd and lascivious molestation on a child under 16 in that case. <\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, detectives said that an additional girl had come forward to report she was victimized in a similar fashion. <\/p>\n<p>According to an arrest report, the victim was at home with her mother when she saw Local 10\u2019s Wednesday story about Jean and immediately went to the Miami Gardens Police Department.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/southfloridamovingguides.com\/?p=299\">Police seek woman accused of stealing from victim\u2019s purse inside Pembroke Pines Salvation Army store<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Once there, the 15-year-old girl told detectives that on March 17, Jean had approached her in his burgundy Kia and \u201cmasturbated in front of her while sitting in his vehicle,\u201d the report states. <\/p>\n<p>The victim also told police that Jean told her, \u201cYou ain\u2019t ever seen this before\u201d when she walked past his vehicle before following her home and driving past her house several times, according to his arrest form. <\/p>\n<p>Jail records show he is now facing an additional charge of lewd and lascivious molestation on a child under 16.
