He hadn’t seen his late father’s dog Rosie in 10 years.
Becker lost touch with his father’s girlfriend after he passed away in Maryland, and she was taking care of the dog.
Somehow, all these years later, Rosie ended up down in Hollywood, Florida.
Workers at iHeart Dog Rescue took in Rosie and started working to track down her owner, since she is chipped.
“Somebody called and she had a dog that somebody gave her and she wanted to surrender it because she couldn’t keep her,” said iHeart Dog Rescue President Cindy Mucciaccio. “So she wound up finding the owner’s son, because two years after the dog was adopted, the owner died. And the owner had a girlfriend who loved the dog very much and took the dog with her. And after a few years, they just lost touch.”

After finding Becker, who was living thousands of miles away in Maryland, he jumped on a flight to pick up his father’s long lost best friend.
The reunion happened at Cool Cuts in Pompano Beach.
“I initially didn’t recognize her because her face is so gray, when I saw those eyes I recognized those eyes,” Becker said.
Now Rosie is heading back home to Mayrland.
What makes the story even sweeter is that Becker adopted a friend for Rosie.
Storm was surrendered, emaciated and in need of care, but bonded with Rosie quickly.
