Detectives investigate after man found dead near train tracks in southwest Miami-Dade

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated after a man was found dead near a set of train tracks in the county’s unincorporated Country Walk area on Monday morning.

Authorities said they received a call about an unresponsive man in the area of Southwest 162nd Avenue and 138th Terrace at around 10 a.m. and medics soon pronounced him dead.

MDSO homicide detectives “have assumed the unclassified death investigation” and his “cause and manner of death will be determined by the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner,” an agency spokesperson said.

Authorities have not released the man’s name and the spokesperson said MDSO didn’t have additional information to provide as of late Monday morning.
