NORTH MIAMI, Fla. — A woman was injured after being shot in North Miami.
It happened Tuesday afternoon in an apartment building along the 13100 block of Ixora Court.

According to police, a man was clearing his gun when it accidentally went off.
The bullet traveled into an adjacent apartment, striking a woman in the leg, authorities said.

She was taken to HCA Florida Aventura Hospital for treatment.
There has been no word from police on whether the gun owner will be facing any charges.
