1 hospitalized after overnight incident outside Wells Fargo in Miami-Dade’s Tamiami area

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating an incident that they say occurred outside a Wells Fargo bank in Miami-Dade’s Tamiami area early Friday morning.

The investigation is centered at the bank in the 12000 block of Northwest Eighth Street, near the corner of Southwest 122nd Avenue and Northwest Eighth Street.

Deputies responded to the scene around 3 a.m. but have not said what prompted the call, describing it only as an ongoing investigation.

According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, crews transported one individual as a trauma alert to a nearby hospital shortly before 3:30 a.m.

Hours later, the parking lot remained taped off, with multiple deputies still on scene. A brown Honda Civic was parked with its doors open, and clothing could be seen on the ground nearby. A black Honda SUV was also parked in the lot.

Three men and one woman were at the scene speaking with deputies. No one appeared to be detained.

MDSO has not released additional details on the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
