Deputies arrest man accused of having sexual relationship with 15-year-old girl

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — A 30-year-old man is facing serious charges stemming from an alleged sexual relationship with a minor.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded on Friday to the 200 block of S. Dixie Highway in Pompano Beach in reference to a fight between two men.

Investigators said the fight was between the suspect, identified as Isra‘el Wal’quer, and another man, allegedly over sexual abuse of a 15-year-old girl.

According to an arrest form, the victim said the fight was due to Wal’quer trying to protect the girl from the other man, but during the course of their investigation, deputies discovered that Wal’quer and the teenage girl had been involved in a sexual relationship for several months.

The victim told deputies that she and Wal’quer had sex “on at least five separate occasions inside Wal’quer’s vehicle,” according to the arrest form.

Authorities said the victim disclosed that she told Wal’quer she was 18 years old and that he had claimed to be 20 years old.

Wal’quer is facing five charges of sex offense with a victim between the ages of 12 and 15. As of Tuesday evening, he was being held at the Paul Rein Detention Facility on a bond of $250,000.
