BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. — A fiery crash Thursday night involving a car hauler, a motorcycle and several other vehicles caused significant traffic delays on Florida’s Turnpike in Broward County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP officials said three southbound lanes were closed between Commercial Boulevard and Sunrise Boulevard as emergency crews responded to the scene.
Four patients were transported to hospitals, including one person who was taken as a trauma alert, authorities said.

An additional crash in the northbound lanes adjacent to the southbound incident blocked one lane and further slowed traffic Thursday night.
Tamarac Fire Rescue, Lauderhill Fire Rescue, Sunrise Fire Rescue and other emergency personnel responded to the scene.

Authorities have not yet released details about what led up to either crash.
