Woman arrested for stabbing in Deerfield Beach

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. — Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies accused a 38-year-old woman of a fatal stabbing during a robbery on Sunday morning in Deerfield Beach, records show.

Deputies reported a woman injured at about 3:45 a.m. on Sunday near Northwest Third Avenue, also known as Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, and Fourth Court.

At about 10 a.m. on Sunday, BSO deputies arrested Brittany Payne, and corrections held her on Monday afternoon at the North Broward Bureau in Pompano Beach, records show.

Payne faced charges of first-degree murder and armed robbery, a first-degree felony. Broward County Circuit Judge Francis Viamontes was set to preside over the case, according to court records.
