MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — A car crash in Miami Gardens sent three people, including a child, to local trauma centers Wednesday afternoon, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

The crash happened just before 2 p.m. in the 17000 block of Northwest 47th Avenue.
Video from Sky 10 shows a vehicle on the sidewalk, crashed into the rear of a pickup truck with MDFR and Miami Gardens police at the scene.
According to MDFR, medics took one adult victim and the child victim to HCA Florida Aventura Hospital’s trauma center by ambulance.

The other adult was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, an MDFR spokesperson said.
One of the victims was trapped and had to be freed from the vehicle, according to MDFR.
Additional details about the victims’ conditions and what led up to the crash weren’t immediately known as of around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday.
