BOCA RATON, Fla. — Three firefighters were hospitalized Wednesday morning after a crash involving a Boca Raton Fire Rescue truck on Interstate 95, according to fire rescue officials.

Officials said at about 6:03 a.m., Boca Raton Fire Rescue crews responded to a vehicle crash in the southbound express lanes of I-95.
Authorities said while crews were clearing the scene, a fire truck was involved in a “serious collision.”

They said three Boca Raton firefighters were inside the truck. One was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, while two others were transported for evaluation as a precaution. The driver of the other vehicle was transported as a trauma alert to a nearby hospital, according to officials.

Authorities said the Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
