MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A juvenile was shot Thursday evening in a Southwest Miami-Dade neighborhood, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.

The shooting happened just before 6:30 p.m. along Southwest 203rd Street near 123rd Avenue.
Neighbors described hearing several gunshots.
“All I heard was a pop pop pop, that was it. I didn’t pay any mind to it. Cause nothing ever happens,” said Ivonne Aguilar, a neighbor.
Investigators said the victim was sitting in a car with another person when the two got into some sort of dispute.
“The subject in the vehicle we’re having a verbal discussion, at which point the victim exited his vehicle and the suspect discharged multiple rounds towards the victim, which ended up striking the victim,” said Daniel Castillo with MDSO.
The shooter later drove away, while the victim was airlifted to Jackson South, according to deputies.

Several neighbors told Local 10 the victim is a teenager.
“I talked to a lot of my neighbors here and supposedly one of my friends one in this neighborhood got shot. So he got airlifted out of here and from there we’re just trying to figure out the situation,” said Frank Miranda, a neighbor.
Sky 10 captured deputies arriving at a second location about a mile away along Southwest 117th Court.
Deputies were seen standing outside an efficiency behind a home with their guns drawn. So far, detectives have not confirmed whether that second scene is related to the shooting.
No arrests have been made and the shooter has not been found as of Thursday night.
