Deputies said they responded to Broward Health North, where they met with the victim, a 23-year-old man who had been stabbed by 25-year-old Dellisha Guadalupe.

The victim told deputies he and Guadalupe went to Cheers Restaurant and Bar in the 1900 block of Northwest 24th Street around 2 or 3 a.m. Monday, where an argument broke out after the victim said “n—-r,” which got Guadalupe “upset,” according to the report.

He said he ordered an Uber, but later canceled it and rode with Guadalupe because they were both going back to their apartment, the report states.

Once they arrived home, the argument continued.

The victim said Guadalupe “gestured to hit him,” according to the report. He said he then made a comment about what she was going to do, and she began punching him throughout his body, including his face, according to deputies.

The report states that the victim said he initially took the punches but then swung back at Guadalupe.

Shortly after, deputies said Guadalupe pulled a pocketknife and stabbed him three times in the left side of his chest and shoulder area while they were in the bedroom.

They said the victim did not initially want to be involved with law enforcement but later began to feel like he was going to “pass out.” He saw an ambulance and chased after it before being taken to Broward Health North, according to the report.

A doctor told the victim the stab wound to the left side of his chest was very close to his lung and that he was “very lucky” it was not punctured, the report states.

Investigators said Guadalupe initially told a 911 dispatcher the victim stabbed himself in the shoulder after she told him she was breaking up with him.

Jail records show she is facing one count of attempted first-degree murder.

As of Tuesday, she was being held without bond at the Broward Main Jail. She was also ordered not to possess any guns, weapons or ammunition, and to have no contact with the victim.
