According to Fort Lauderdale police, officers were called at approximately 2:42 p.m. to a business near the 800 block of Northwest 10th Terrace after receiving a report of a man who entered a restricted area and began “acting erratically.”
Patrol officers, a K-9 unit, and members of Broward Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit searched the surrounding area but were temporarily unable to locate the man. Investigators later determined he was inside the business alone.
Police said the suspect, who has only been identified as a male at this time, was not authorized to be inside the building.
