At least 1 hospitalized after possible gas explosion at Miami-Dade maintenance facility

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — At least one person was hospitalized Monday morning following a possible explosion at a Miami-Dade County maintenance facility.

The facility used to fuel Miami-Dade Fire Rescue vehicles and other county-owned vehicles is located at 6100 SW 87th Ave., just south of Snapper Creek.

Sky 10 was above the scene at 10:40 a.m. as there appeared to be heavy damage to a fuel pump.

At least one person was reportedly taken to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital as a trauma alert.
