MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A woman was shot in the leg Thursday night in northeast Miami-Dade after she got caught in the crossfire between several men who were firing shots at each other, authorities said.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, the shooting was reported just after 10:15 p.m. near a corner store in the area of Northeast 117th Street and Second Avenue.
Detective Angel Rodriguez said deputies arrived at the scene and found the victim sitting in her vehicle with an apparent gunshot wound to her leg.
A Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crew responded to the scene and transported her to a local hospital in stable condition.
Rodriguez said detectives have determined that the victim was sitting in her car when shots were fired between several male suspects.

The victim’s car was struck by at least one of the rounds, and the bullet struck her in the leg, he said.
Rodriguez said they do not have any other information about the men who were shooting at each other.
