MIAMI — Adversity hasn’t affected the Miami Marlins much in June.
On Saturday at loanDepot park, the Marlins improved to an MLB-best 13-4 in June with a series-clinching 6-3 victory over the San Francisco Giants (31-45).

Saturday’s win put the Marlins (39-38) above .500 for the first time since they were 9-8 on April 13.
The Miami offense was quiet early, scoring its first run on a bases-loaded walk in the first inning to take a 1-0 lead.
It wasn’t a dominant start for right-hander Max Meyer, who remains unbeaten through 16 starts this season, but it was an effective one.
Meyer went five innings, allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out seven. He threw 98 pitches, 66 for strikes.
Giants right-hander Trevor McDonald lasted only three innings, and the Marlins tagged the bullpen for four runs in the fourth.
The rally was highlighted by a two-run home run from Heriberto Hernández, who has continued to put together quality at-bats since being recalled from Triple-A Jacksonville.

Miami will go for the sweep on Father’s Day at 1:40 p.m. ET, with right-hander Ryan Gusto (0-2, 7.24 ERA) set to take the mound.
Other game notes:
• Otto Lopez became the first player in Major League Baseball to record his 100th hit of the 2026 season, joining Luis Arraez (2023) and Dee Strange-Gordon (2015) as the only players in franchise history to be the first Major Leaguer to 100 hits in a season.
• The Marlins have won seven consecutive games at loanDepot park, tying the longest home winning streak in the ballpark’s history since its inaugural season in 2012. The feat has been accomplished twice before: April 18-May 2, 2014, and June 2-19, 2023.
• Closer Pete Fairbanks earned his second straight save of the series and the 101st of his Major League career. He has a 3.52 ERA in June.
• Liam Hicks was scratched from the game with what the team called “low back tightness.” Manager Clayton McCullough told reporters after the game that Hicks will undergo further testing, and the team expects to know more Sunday.
