U.S. CBP gave Local 10 News a behind-the-scenes look at their quiet efforts to screen the cargo delivered to the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.
“Food deliveries, merchandise, staging equipment, anything that is going to get offloaded, that needs to be screened by us,” U.S. CBP Officer Alexander Hernandez said at the stadium.
The U.S. CBP team at the stadium property used a “, portal to scan cargo trucks with X-ray and gamma-ray, without physically having to search and unpack.

Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies use deputized dogs, or K-9s, trained to detect explosives as an extra layer of security.
Security is tight, and the perimeter around the stadium is wide. Federal, state, and local law enforcement are working together. They learned from the chaos that erupted at the stadium during a Copa America match between Argentina and Colombia on July 14, 2024.
