FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A scary scene unfolded Thursday afternoon at a Fort Lauderdale construction site after a small crane came crashing to the ground.

Dashcam video shows the moment the crane went down at the site of a new YMCA building near Holiday Park.
“Right now, we’ve got two cranes coming out to try and lift this. And from speaking with the foremen, it’s very tricky because moving one part of the crane can make the other part flip off in the road and vice versa,” Fort Lauderdale Assistant Fire Chief Timothy Heiser said.

Video from the scene shows the crane on the ground as police and fire crews responded.
OSHA and building inspectors were called in as an investigation is underway to determine what caused the collapse.

Deputies confirmed no one was hurt.
