Deputies seek suspect after overnight ‘street takeover’ near Doral leaves 3 hurt

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A “street takeover” in an industrial area east of Doral left three people hurt overnight Sunday, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said they’re now looking for a suspect who fled the scene.

Authorities said it happened just after 3:30 a.m. in the 7600 block of Northwest 25th Street, just east of the Palmetto Expressway.

MDSO deputies and Doral police responded and medics took the three victims to a nearby hospital, deputies said.

“The suspect vehicle is described as a black pickup truck with front end damage. The driver fled the scene and remains at large,” an MDSO news release states. “Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident and are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has any information regarding the suspect vehicle to come forward.”
