Motorcyclist dies after crash involving cement truck on Don Shula Expressway

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A motorcyclist was killed early Tuesday morning after colliding with a cement truck on the Don Shula Expressway in Miami-Dade County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash occurred at approximately 3:33 a.m. on the southbound Don Shula Expressway near Southwest 104th Street and Killian Parkway.

According to FHP officials, the motorcyclist collided with the cement truck, causing a fire to ignite on the motorcycle.

Officials said the motorcyclist, who has only been identified as a man at this time, died at the scene from his injuries.

They said the southbound lanes of the Don Shula Expressway were temporarily closed but have since reopened.
