Man accused of masturbating in front of kids walking to school in Homestead

HOMESTEAD, Fla. — Police officers accused a 39-year-old man of masturbating in front of two children who were walking to school on Thursday in Homestead, records show.

Francois Levi approached the children, who were walking eastbound on Lucy Street near Northwest Sixth Avenue, according to a police officer’s arrest report.

The children ran to school and reported the incident to a school security employee, who called 911, according to the police report.

Police officers arrested Levi at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday at the Laura C. Saunders Elementary School, at 505 SW 8th St., according to the police report.

Miami-Dade corrections booked Levi shortly after 11:50 p.m. on Thursday at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, according to inmate records.

Levi faced four charges: Two counts of lewd or lascivious exhibition on a child younger than 16, and two counts of indecent exposure.
