The couple was vacationing in South Florida from Kentucky, where deputies said they share a home.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the Beach Comber Hotel located at 1200 S Ocean Blvd. in Pompano Beach on Sunday, where they spoke to the victim.

She told investigators that her boyfriend, Christopher Eversole, woke up in a bad mood that morning, leading to a day full of arguments that eventually became physical in nature.

According to the victim, Eversole is a recovering alcoholic but decided to drink that day, after which “he began degrading her in public and talking about her genitals out loud and calling her a whore and stupid,” an arrest report stated.

After returning to their hotel, deputies said Eversole smacked the victim across her face with an open hand, which caused instant swelling and bruising. She told deputies that Eversole then “stated he would kill her and wanted her dead,” before choking the victim several times, then breaking her phone when she tried to record the abuse, the report stated.

The victim told deputies that Eversole wouldn’t let her leave the room, and instead he “instructed her to get naked and have sex with him,” and when she said she didn’t want to, he responded, “shut the f— up and just do it,” according to the arrest report. In fear for her life, the victim told deputies she complied.

After about 30 minutes, the victim said she told Eversole she felt sick and he allowed her to go the restroom, but would only give her a t-shirt to wear, deputies said. After remaining in the bathroom for a period of time, deputies said the victim ran out the front door and took the elevator to the lobby, where an employee gave her a blanket to wear, and called 911.

Deputies said hotel cameras corroborated the victim’s account of events.

Investigators also noted the size difference between the victim and Eversole, who was listed as 7-foot-6, weighing 250 pounds.

Eversole is facing charges of sexual battery, domestic battery by strangulation, domestic battery and domestic assault.

As of Tuesday night, he was being held at the North Broward Bureau jail on a bond of $24,500.
