Convicted killer Daisy Link, who got pregnant in Miami-Dade jail, accused of attacking 2nd inmate

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Daisy Link, who was convicted of second-degree murder last year in the June 2022 killing of her longtime partner, is once again facing a new charge after deputies with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office said she attacked a fellow inmate at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center for the second time this year.

The latest incident occurred Monday at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where Link is accused of punching another inmate multiple times during an altercation, according to the report.

MDSO deputies said the incident happened at about 5:52 p.m. Monday in the “common area” of the facility located at 7000 NW 41st St.

Deputies said a correctional officer reviewing surveillance video saw Link arguing with the victim before rushing toward her and punching her multiple times in the head and face, and pulling her hair.

They said the two were separated by staff and later evaluated at the jail clinic, where both were treated and released with no visible injuries, according to the report.

CCTV footage reviewed by deputies corroborated the account, and Link was identified as the aggressor by a correctional corporal, the report states.

A motive for the attack was not listed in her arrest report.

Deputies said the victim and witnesses were also identified through surveillance footage.

This is not the first time Link has faced similar allegations while in custody.

On Jan. 26, she was accused of attacking another inmate inside her cell at the same facility, according to investigators.

In that case, deputies said the victim, identified as “Gupta” in the report, told investigators she was punched multiple times in the face inside her cell and did not know what prompted the attack. Gupta sustained minor injuries, according to the report.

Link was convicted in October 2025 of second-degree murder in the June 2022 shooting death of her longtime partner, Pedro Jimenez, the father of two of her children.

Prosecutors said he had been planning to leave the relationship and keep the children away from her.

She also drew international attention in 2024 after becoming pregnant while in jail.

She remains held without bond at TGK as of Tuesday morning.
