The ceremony will officially designate Northwest 206th Terrace between 45th Avenue and 47th Avenue as Frederica S. Wilson Boulevard. The roadway is adjacent to Dr. Frederica S. Wilson/Skyway Elementary School, a campus that already bears the Democratic congresswoman’s name.
Wilson, who represents Florida’s 24th Congressional District, is expected to attend the event alongside Miami Gardens Councilman Reggie Leon, local elected officials, educators, students, and community members.
City leaders say the street naming recognizes Wilson’s longstanding commitment to public service, education, and empowering young people throughout South Florida.
