DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. — Deerfield Beach commissioners meet on Tuesday night, and their agenda includes a resolution to take “all necessary actions”against the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

The actions, according to the resolution, include bringing in “outside legal counsel” and “filing litigation against” BSO.
City officials have been working on starting the city’s own police and fire rescue departments before September 2027, when BSO stops working for the city.
