LAUDERHILL, Fla. — A 5-year-old boy was taken to a hospital with minor injuries after being struck by a driver in a sedan in Lauderhill on Friday night, police confirmed.

According to Lauderhill Police Sgt. Parys Thomas, officers responded to the crash and found the boy had been hit by a vehicle.
Police said the boy was transported to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
They said the driver remained at the scene and the boy’s parents were present at the time of the incident.

Thomas said the case is being investigated as a “regular traffic accident” and that there are no indications of any criminal wrongdoing.
