According to police, Lorent Pion beat the 22-year-old victim, Nahomi Cittadini, on the side of Interstate 95 near the exit for Ives Dairy Road where she was fatally struck by a vehicle traveling at least 80 mph.

It happened on Dec. 18, 2024.

Authorities said Pion, 30, then led police on a pursuit that spanned both Miami-Dade and Broward counties and ended when he crashed into multiple vehicles at the intersection of Miramar Parkway and Red Road in Miramar.
