The Miami-based app called Dibs Parking was started by two friends who met in middle school and went into business last year after studying computer science.

“The process is pretty simple,” said Dibs Parking co-founder Willy Merlet. “In like two minutes you can reserve your spot. They see the options and choose the event.”

With the app, users can sign up and list their home, like the many near Hard Rock Stadium, for people to find and use for parking.

“It’s a lot more convenient for people,” said Miami Gardens resident Mike Jean, who uses his property for parking during events.

The creators say the platform was designed to help people find affordable parking near events like the World Cup and let people – like homeowners or business owners – make a little cash.

Local 10’s Jeff Derderain also found a unique website where ticket prices and trends are updated periodically called TicketData.com, which pulls information from places like StubHub, Vivid Seats and TickPick.
