Large grass fire burns near Miami Executive Airport

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A grass fire broke out Sunday afternoon in southwest Miami-Dade.

It broke out at around 2:45 p.m. in the pinelands near Southwest 137th Avenue and 120th Street, near Miami Executive Airport.

According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, no injuries were reported.

Additional manpower had been called in to fight the flames.

Officials hadn’t said as of Sunday evening how many acres had been burned or provided information about a containment level.
